WHAT DO YOU GET PAID?

We do not do pay to play or play for free as if we did this in the past and although some bands offer this, we just believe bands should get paid something. However we absolutely comply with risk management and make sure every band we book can guarantee a crowd of at least 3/4 people to see them.

Signed/Self financed Bands - Fee Basis:

Booking agents or bands can send in Fee/Ryder requirements.

Unsigned Bands - Ticket Policy:

Unsigned - We will give you a select amount of tickets to sell to your friends/family/fans and you can keep that profit.

Special Guest Published Poet:

Karina Sher

Karina Sher is a published poet and author of The Black Forest, she is also the songwriter/vocalist for her solo project LAKE OF DREAMS and published artist in the top 10 artists in Leicestershire published in Aspire Magazine for being completely original in her form of abstract and surreal art. She will be reading extracts of her book and tracks from her debut EP Lake Of Dreams will be plugged during the night. Prints of her art will also be available to buy.

She is also releasing a book called VEGANIZE MY LIFE in 2018 and the recipes for all vegan options at the restaurant will be from her book. So you get first hand samples of her food.

Special Guest Jonathan Taylor Published Poet & Author:

Jonathon Tayler is a published author, editor, lecturer and critic. His books include the novel "Melissa" (Salt 2015), the memoir "Take Me Home" (Granta 2007) and the poetry collection "Musicolepsy" (Shoestring 2013). He directs the MA in Creative Writing at the University Of Leicester. He lives with his wife Maria Taylor and their twin daughters Rosalind and Miranda. His website is as follows:

Kimmy Leiser

Kimmy Leiser has been writing poetry and has been reciting poetry and spoken word events across Leicester. Emotive and deep, Kimmy has some great poetry to recite. A welcome addition as a guest speaker for this event.

INFORMATION:

More poets and spoken word artists TBC and we are happy to have an open mic theme slots during the night if those who are coming would like to have a go. The best selected on the night will have a chance to be our guest poet for the next event.

Tickets are £25 each which includes all entertainment and all food.

What a great night at Venom Nightclub! Thanks to all who came down making it a great night out for Leicester and for those who came out of town. Big thanks to our special guests Tony Dolan from Venom Inc and Darren Smith from Eastern Front!

For the next one we have special guests stoner rock legends Desert Storm (stoner rock/blues/metal) coming down to the night after their gig Desert Storm - Limb uk tour hits Leicester at Firebug Leicester so check them out at Firebug and then a few of the lads will be coming down to the night! One will be guest DJying the HEADBANGERS CLUB NIGHT, LEICESTER floor on the top floor.

Bit about Desert Storm (stoner rock/blues/metal)

Oxford based riff hounds Desert Storm have been making a name for themselves 3 albums and a demo and relentless touring of the UK & Europe with the likes of Karma To Burn, Nashville Pussy, Peter Pan Speedrock, Honky (ft members of Down/Melvins/Butthole Surfers) as well as support slots to the likes of Orange Goblin, Red Fang, American Head Charge and festival appearances at The Bulldog Bash, The Desertfest, Brisfest & Roadkill (BEL).

January 26th is the worldwide release date for the new record 'Omniscient' (Blindsight records- distro by Code 7 via PHD) which features 10 brand new tracks full of colossal riffs and pure rock fury, but with some moments of folk and psychedelia. The album was engineered by Jamie Dodd (Orange Goblin) and is the follow up to 2013's acclaimed 'Horizontal Life' record.

Band Of The Month:

We select a band to play one of their tracks at the club and we do a review and interview with the band.

Conditions:

1. The band selected must come to the club and we will get you all in half price.

2. The band must invite their friends to the event so when the track is played you have people that will know your music.

3. To apply, please send a message to the Ragebreed page with a link to your music.

4. Once we have confirmed you have been selected, we will send you the e-mail of our DJ and you will need to send him a good quality mp3 of the track you want us to play.

5. Please send the names of all band members so we cross your names off the list on entry.

6. Please remember to bring any promotional material with you and spread the word.

7. All your band details will be passed to our reviewer and interviewer and they will be in touch to schedule the interview and let you know once the review is up

8. The review and interview will be posted on the official Ragebreed site and shared on our pages on social media.
